ARD, Inc. is the implementing partner for the USAID funded Civic Engagement Program. ARD, Inc. is looking for experienced professionals to be based in our Jerusalem Office for the following position:
Engineering Specialist
Number of positions: One
Duration: 23 Months
Location:
This position requires coordinating, monitoring and facilitating engineering and environmental technical work in the field, and ensuring proper implementation of all components. Duties also include analyzing construction plans and assessing the feasibility of project costs in addition to ensuring adherence to sound engineering standards and compliance with environmental practices per USAID, ARD and CEP specifications in all interventions.
Other requirements include:
-A bachelor degree in civil engineering
-At least 5 years of experience preferably in project planning, management, and supervision
-Good experience in bid evaluation and contracting procedures. Knowledge of USAID procedures is a plus
-Demonstrated ability to work with local authorities, community members and groups
-Excellent communication skills in Arabic and English (written, aural and verbal)
-Proficiency in computer programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Project and AutoCAD)
-Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
-Ability to work within a team, at a fast pace and under pressure
-Ability and willingness to travel
